Efficiency
Efficiency means managing the business with discipline by understanding financial performance, delivering projects well, making thoughtful investments, holding ourselves and our teams accountable, and continually improving how we work. Summit’s operating foundation depends on coordinated support from Finance, Operations, Information Technology, Human Resources, Safety and Assets, the Chief Engineer, operational administrative resources, business leaders, and project teams. During the reporting period, this work included safer operations, careful benefits management, stronger HR systems, more consistent performance processes, and practical tools that help managers and employees work with better information.
As part of the Board’s Efficiency objective, Summit created SummitDNA—the company’s centralized data and analytics platform designed to connect source systems, applications, analytics, and business processes within one integrated operating ecosystem. SummitDNA provides a shared data foundation that strengthens reporting, improves decision-making, reinforces accountability, and creates greater alignment across the company.
Throughout the year, SummitDNA continued to expand its capabilities with the launch of new tools supporting both growth and operational execution, including the CRM, Events and Conference App, and the new LOP-to-Project Setup workflow. These solutions are helping Summit better manage client relationships, coordinate business development activities, improve pursuit visibility, and create a more seamless transition from opportunity to project delivery.
SummitDNA has also expanded Summit’s financial and operational visibility through dashboards focused on financial performance, budgeting, project performance, and employee data. By bringing critical information together in a consistent and accessible environment, these tools help leaders identify trends earlier, make better-informed decisions, and streamline how Summit operates.
Ultimately, SummitDNA is about using technology, data, and automation to help Summit scale smarter. In the coming year, the initiative will continue to strengthen the company’s data foundation, expand operational tools and automation, and provide greater visibility across the organization—supporting more efficient execution as Summit continues to grow.
